2007 Recipient:
ABBY HILL
Abby will be attending the University of Toledo in the fall of 2007.
Congratulations, Abby! 

Abby is the daughter of Mike and Sharon Hill of Whitehouse, OH. Abby graduated from Anthony Wayne High School in 2007 and carried a 4.36 GPA and was ranked 26th in her class out of 316 students. She was an honor roll student and a member of the National Honor Society. 

Abby was a varsity soccer player and received NLL 1st team honors in 2006 and 2007. She received district honors for her play in 2006(2nd team) and 2007(1st team). She was invited in 2005 to the National Soccer Camp in Coco Beach, Florida. In addition she ran varsity track for the 2005 and 2006 seasons and received 1st team NLL and was All State in 4x400 and 4x200 relays in 2006.
Abby will be playing soccer at the University of Toledo .

About the Scholarship
Established in 2004, this award is presented each year by the Anthony Wayne Soccer Club to a young person from the Anthony Wayne soccer community. 
Application deadline is May 1.

Eligible entrants: Anyone who has played in the Anthony Wayne Soccer Club and is currently enrolled in college, or who will be entering a college the next fall semester, with plans of attaining a Bachelors or Associate degree. The scholarship must be used for
tuition or books. The check will be made payable to the college of the individual’s choice. An individual may only win this award once.

Amount of award: To be determined by the board. This year we are pleased to offer a scholarship in the amount of $1,000.

Evaluation Process:

  1. Grade Point Average (20%)
  2. Years of playing experience and level of play, one of which must have been in the in the Anthony Wayne Soccer Club (20%)
  3. Other soccer activities (coaching, refereeing, volunteer work, awards) (15%)
  4. Other school activities (clubs, student government, sports, etc.) (15%)
  5. Essay (30%)
